Not all visits are appropriate for telemedicine visits, because some conditions are best treated after an in-person physical examination in order to properly diagnose correctly.
Of course, injections and procedures must be an in-person visit. We do require that all our primary care patients make a minimum of one in-person visit per year, in order to continue to be able to see us through telemedicine.
The best type of appointments for telemedicine follow up are lab or radiology result discussion visits, medication refills, and counseling for psychological conditions. If you have a physical condition that is best examined in person, please do not make a telemarketing appointment. Most urgent care appointments should be conducted in-person, even though it is very convenient to simply describe your symptoms, our providers prefer to examine you whenever possible.
